Assignment Detail:- ASSESSMENT TASK: APPLIED TASK
Purpose: Students apply their understanding of the Sustainable
Development Goals in a local community, by drawing on the skills and knowledge from their course of study-
In this assessment you will explain how your course of study has begun equipping you to work toward ONE of the Sustainable Development Goals in such a way that -a- incorporates key themes of Laudato Si' and principles of Catholic Social Thought, and that -b- interacts with ONE community organisation-
You will do this using the format of a carefully structured essay- Further instructions:
a- Refer to ONE reading from your course of study, i-e-, the degree program you are enrolled in at ACU, e-g-, Bachelor of Primary Education, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Business, etc-
b- Choose ONE of EITHER SDG 5 -Gender Equality- OR SDG 15 -Life on Land--
c- Choose ONE community organisation, e-g-, Habitat for Humanity Australia, International Women's Development Agency, TEAR Australia, or UNICEF Australia-
d- Refer again -as in the preceding assignments- to the third and fourth chapters of Laudato Si'-
