This item asks you to identify an educational issue of interest to you and then explore this issue through current research literature- The task is a written assignment that includes:
1- INTRODUCTION: A statement of the educational issue, referring to the research literature- This statement should define key terms and ideas; A description of the systematic search strategy including a summary of search findings -200 words--
2- MIND MAP: A mind map that provides an overview of the key concerns of current research work on the educational issue on the basis of the annotated bibliography -50-100 words--
3- ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY: An annotated bibliography of six research-based studies that could take the form of journal articles or book chapters that are directly relevant to your educational issue - The six references here are not counted as part of the word count for this assessment item -1,500 words--
4- CONCLUSION: A conclusion that summarises your understandings of the research issue and outlines the focus for further investigation -200 words--
5- REFERENCES: A reference list -APA 7th- detailing all references used in the paper -Not included as part of the word count--Criteria & Marking:
1- Definition of a coherent and well defined educational issue- Did the paper include a concise statement of the educational issue to be explored???? Is this issue evident in the search strategy and reflected in the choice of research included in the annotated bibliography and the mind map???? Were key terms and ideas defined????
2- Critical engagement with the literature- Did the paper provide evidence of a clear and well-defined search strategy to explore the topic identified????
